New Years in Wisconsin

Paul had vacation over New Years and we wanted to get back for the Holidays. After his last day of work we loaded up the SUV and drove during the late evening hours to Wisconsin! We made excellent time and had quite the car full of stuff. Drew did awesome and slept most of the way.

The next day my parents came down for dinner at the Andersons. We had steak and shrimp on the grill, which was fantastic! The evening was finished with a wild game of Cards Against Humanity with the whole family participating. Three generations were around the table, and the fourth was sleeping in his crib.  I don't think I laughed that hard in ages. I was out of breath.

New Years Day consisted of spending time with family. Paul was able to get a lot of good quality time with Drew, which seriously warmed my heart. These extended periods together as a family is such a blessing. Dale also graced us with his presence. We wrapped presents and got ready for the evening's festivities. We all gathered around the couch and opened presents, it was a flurry of activity! Drew got some wonderful gifts and toys to keep him occupied and dressed to impress! Dale got a few things that he destroyed as well! Paul and I got an ornament to remember Drew's first Christmas and some other wonderful gifts for our house and hobbies!

One of the best presents of the night has to be the return of the Spider-Man coat to his rightfu owner! We wrapped it up in a small suspicious box, and Jack's eyes lit up when he saw the first glimpse of red! The coat was back to its rightful owner, and I'm sure will get much use over the rest of the winter!  We are so thankful to have this time with family, and surely enjoyed our visit!
