Four Years Old!

Birthdays are a constant reminder of how quickly time is moving. This year we celebrated four candles on my oldest kid’s cake!  It was a nice excuse to put out a bunch of appetizers, snack food and pizza. I don’t mind an excuse to entertain!

The day before one of my dear friends came to town to check out Pittsburgh, see our house and meet up with family. Even though it was a short joinery (much of which was spent in the car in a Pittsburgh traffic jam - the true PGH experience), it was so worth it to catch up!

For the B-day party, a few friends came over, we ate, we sang, we laughed. The birthday boy loved the furry of activity and all of the energy in the house. He was bouncing off the walls – full of juice and fruit (the only two things he would touch from our table full of food). The man didn’t even eat his own cake!?  I know – I have no words.

We enjoyed celebrating in our everyday, low key way.  The next day for his Birthday he got to go to Build-A-Bear to design a bear that holds the nuks!  Yep – we decided that four year olds don’t use nuks.  So I feel like we gave him a challenge for his Birthday. Poor guy!  After a few hard naps and nights, he came through like the champion we knew him to be!

Happy Birthday Big Man!

The best four years of my life, and counting!
