Taylor & Katie's Wedding!

This was a day in the making - I remember when Josiah and I went with Taylor to pick out settings for his diamond. I snuck out of lab and drove us downtown in our car to look a settings at a small jeweler. Taylor was nervous, I don't even think I was married yet. After a few nervous words from Taylor including "I... I have a stone", Josiah stepped up to the plate... "Ahhh, he means we're here to look at settings"...  After that, it took moments to find the perfect ring for Katie, and get them started on the path to marriage!  I seriously love that memory, and now they're married!!

We gathered at their adorable church to watch the ceremony, which went off without a hitch! Katie was a stunning bride. Unfortunately I have no photo proof of my own, but you'll have to take my word for it.  It was the perfect wedding, followed by a dove/pigeon release which was my favorite part of the day (besides the marriage part of course).  I felt that one bird was going to hit me in the head, so I screamed... not advised to scream and run at a romantic wedding dove release. Luckily no one was hit by the birds, and the birds joined us for dinner.

We made our way to the reception and enjoyed snacks and catching up with med school classmates who are real resident doctors now - crazy how time flies! Luke also caught us up on his residency in NYC, big city living! It was an excellent night of dinner, dancing, and good times. Thanks for the party Taylor and Katie!

Cheers to the humble power couple!  You're the best!
