Wisconsin Bound for N&B Wedding Weekend!

My family and I have tried to make a promise to see each other once a month, especially now that Drew is growing and changing like crazy. Well, and family is important, so it becomes a priority to get back to see everyone regularly. When I arrived, Lyssa came over shortly after and we took the little man for a swim in the pool. Drew loves the water, and fell asleep during his swim time, haha! Pretty standard Drew.

The real motivation for going back this weekend was to celebrate the marriage of Nick and Bonnie. Nick went to both high school and college with Joel, and there are many memories from both "learning experiences", hahah! They were roommates for many years and had their fair share of fun. I was so excited to get back to see everyone for the wedding, it was going to be a Seymour and Michigan Tech mini-reunion. Paul unfortunately couldn't make it due to his busy work schedule in Cleveland, so I of course had to bring Lyssa and Drew as my dates. I was so excited for everyone to meet my little man. He got all dressed up in his three piece suit, and then pooped like crazy during the ceremony. Solid, well not exactly "solid", work Drew.

The reception was awesome, we started the night with a family flash mob, a performance by impressive pole dancers and finally they cleared the dance floor to boogie!! They had an amazing band called the Presidents, and Lyssa and I danced so hard that my feet were numb and in severe pain simultaneously. All and all, the wedding was spectacular and Drew had a great time loving on his Grandparents at the Anderson house!!

On Sunday we visited with (Great) Grandma Marsh, Aunt Nanny and Bailee, before grabbing dinner with the Nagel family. Drew is only a few weeks behind his big cousin Oliver, so it is always fun to get the boys together. Right now they mostly coo and stare at one another, but I imagine in a few years it will be an all out play fest! Ollie is getting so big and already had his first haircut! It's so fun to visit with them and watch Oliver grow!

Monday we kept it low key, I had to do a bit of home work in order to keep up with my coursework, and we went to visits Great Grandma and Grandpa VanBoxtel! Grandma Dorothy was just smiling at Drew, it was so precious to see her light up like that. She kept saying that he was an angel. I tend to agree with you Grandma!

Later that evening we met up with the Whipps and Sullivans for pizza! Drew passed out in his Boba wrap for dinner and fell asleep shortly after we got home. The next morning it was more class and time to get packed up to go back to Pittsburgh. Time always goes so quickly when we visit home. There are so many people to see and so many things to do! Luckily, Drew has proven to be a pretty awesome traveler, the hum of the plane puts the little man right to sleep. We are also finding all the perfect spots to sneak away and feed him in the airports. Despite our trying to be modest, he loves to let out large burps and milk vomit which quickly gives away our secrets, hahah! He keeps things entertaining and wonderful!

When we arrived in Pittsburgh, we realized that our luggage was lost. Our car seat, stroller, and worst of all, my breast pump. The airlines had a few loner seats we could use. Katie and Taylor were kind enough to buy me a manual pump from Target. I have the best friends. We survived the evening to say the least, and we cannot wait until our next visit back home!
